I am a performance artist and theatre director. For two decades, I have developed works that reimagine spectatorship, with the spectator's body often at the center. I also work in the area of new drama.

In recent years, I have focused on critically examining how AI and digital technologies can act as agents in performance. As a founding member of #digiteatteri, I have created concepts where a remote-controlled human transmits touch in a hotel room, a Tinder algorithm invites participants to a dance ritual in a demolition building, or social media opens parallel performance spaces. For this pioneering work, I received the TINFO Award in 2019.

At the core of my works is the exercise of power in intimate and societal relationships. I examine how gender and sexuality are performed, constructed, and deconstructed. My site-sensitive and durational works create situations where normative patterns become visible and questioned.

Reality Research Center has been a central artistic surrounding in my practice. I have worked with the Finnish National Theatre and created several productions at Riihimäki Theatre. I also work as a consultant for the Ministry of Education and Culture and the Finnish Theatre Union on questions of technology and performance art. I teach at Aalto University and the Theatre Academy. My international collaborations extend from the Davvi Centre in Tromsø to the Conference of Theoretical Theater in Brooklyn and street performances in Rio de Janeiro.
